During my second month of college, our professor gave us a pop quiz. gaminator free coins I was a conscientious student and had breezed through the questions, until I read the last one: “What is the first name of the woman who cleans the school?”
Surely, this was some kind of joke. I had seen the cleaning woman several times. She was tall, dark-haired and in her 50’s, but how would I know her name? I handed in my paper, leaving the last question blank.

Just before class ended, one student asked if the last question would count toward our quiz grade. sportfogadás bónusz “Absolutely,” said the professor. “In your careers, you will meet many people. All are significant. They deserve your attention and care, even if all you do is smile and say ‘hello’. tippmix.hu sportfogadás

“I’ve never forgotten that lesson. I also learned her name was Dorothy.

Warren Buffet was once asked: When Did You Know You Were Rich?

It’s worth letting him give his answer at length in his own voice:

“I really knew I was rich when I had $10,000. I knew a long time ago that I was going to be doing something I loved doing with people that I loved doing it with. In 1958, I had my dad take me out of the will, as I knew I would be rich anyway. I let my two sisters have all the estate.

I bet we all in this room live about the same. We eat about the same and sleep about the same. We pretty much drive a car for 10 years. All this stuff doesn’t make it any different. I will watch the Super Bowl on a big screen television just like you. kasyno online demo We are living the same life. I have two luxuries: I get to do what I want to do every day and I get to travel a lot faster than you.

You should do the job you love whether or not you are getting paid for it. Do the job you love. Know that the money you will follow. darmowe zakłady sportowe I travel distances better than you do. bukmacherskie zakłady online The plane is nicer. But that is about the only thing that I do a whole lot different.

I didn’t know my salary when I went to work for Graham until I got his first paycheck. Do what you love and don’t even think about the money. I will take a trip on Paul Allen’s Octopus ($400M yacht), but wouldn’t want one for myself. A 60 man crew is needed. They could be stealing, sleeping with each other, etc. Professional sports teams are a hassle, especially when you have as much money as him. Fans would complain that you aren’t spending enough when the team loses.

If there is a place that is warm in the winter and cool in the summer, and you do what you love doing, you will do fine. You’re rich if you are working around people you like. You will make money if you are energetic and intelligent. This society lets smart people with drive earn a very good living. You will be no exception.”

It’s a good time of year to remember that what makes us rich is the family we cherish, the work we love, and the people we know.

One night, at 11:30 PM, an older African American woman was standing on the side of an Alabama highway trying to endure a lashing rainstorm. Her car had broken down and she desperately needed a ride. img_7423For some reason or other I was very nervous today before I spoke. I was at the Kushner School in Livingston, NJ and after I was introduced they showed a short video of the events of 9/11. automaty online bez logowania It took me back to a very difficult place and it took me longer than usual to gain my composure. Maybe it’s because it’s the 15th Anniversary, maybe it was the fact that most of these high school kids were not even born when 9/11 happened. I really don’t know. What I do know is that once I got into it I was really going strong. You could hear a pin drop. The auditorium was huge. There were 500 kids along with teachers, staff members and a few parents. I also had the opportunity to meet Donald Austin, the head of Newark Academy before the program began. By the time I was done I had kids and adults alike coming over to me telling me how they now have a new outlook on life. How amazing is that. The Principal came over to me and said that they have had literally hundreds of speakers over the years but I was by far the best speaker that they ever had. He was amazed that the kids sat for an hour without so much as a peep. I was touched to hear that even after the program had ended, the students talked about what I had shared in my presentation in the hallways and in their classrooms. That made me feel good. It is statements like these that always gives me renewed strength to keep doing what I’m doing because I am making a difference. najlepsze automaty online

I can’t thank you enough for yesterday. The students and faculty  enjoyed and were very much inspired by your talk enormously.. The conversations even continued back in the classrooms. Many different points resonated with different people. Your talk also motivated us to take the tragedy and do our part to make a difference in the world. It made a huge impact on all of us.
