Being Your Personal Best: Are You the Best “You” That You Can Be?
Everybody is born with innate qualities and abilities that can be developed and lead to future success or usefulness. It is these potentials that make each person who they are; it is these potentials that define the “you.”
The good news is that YOU can control the outcome – you have the power to create the definition. I delineate steps using real-life experiences to help each person achieve their own individual potential. The final message is to motivate and encourage each member of the audience to make a commitment to live better – know your “why” – visualize your goal, then set out to achieve it. After all, you only have one life, make it worth living.
Teamwork Makes the Dream Work
there is a well-known cliché that teaches us that there is no “I” in TEAM and that TEAM is an acronym of Together Everyone Achieves More. To take that one step further, I would propose that together everyone achieves more, especially when they work collectively, effectively and efficiently. I use personal experience, specifically relating to 9/11 to demonstrate the above and to conclude with a concept similar to Helen Keller’s famous quote, “Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much.”
Life happens. Experiences occur. How are you going to respond? When a hurdle is thrown your way, it’s easy to throw in the towel, but there is no productivity in that response. Every experience is purposeful and, if so, every experience is manageable. Change is not automatic or instantaneous. It is a process. It is a course of introspection and a practice of habits. A framework for constructive responses and reactions is summarized. The message is that the feeling of triumph that positive change promotes is unparalleled.
